What happens when you take a specialist in collaboration and data systems and strategy and strip away the tools, assumptions, infrastructure, and connectedness? With Collaboration for Good, I’ve unintentionally created a space to explore what happens when the technology and systems that are easy to take for granted disappear.
At first, I launched a separate blog to capture the stories and our journey with another culture. It wasn’t long before I saw that while the stories and people still deserved a separate place, there was so much to learn from operating with a different toolkit and people with different resources. An underlying theme was almost immediately present: strong and simple systems, clear and transparent communication and information, and contextual and personalized training are essential to success whether your budget is 300 million or 3 thousand dollars.
So join me for a journey through low and high tech, from automated CRMs to SMS, and from mud huts to corporate headquarters.
